Last Wednesday, Telford AC’s annual Sexarathon series kicked off, with the first of the six races being held at Lilleshall Sports Centre, as is tradition. Starting and finishing by the astroturf pitches, the 5-mile route takes runners all the way along the drive towards Newport, before doing a loop around Pave Lane, before heading back up the sports centre drive (via a long, punishing climb!) to the finish.

Alex Millington was the first member of Newport & District Running Club to finish, taking 22nd place overall, in a time of 29 minutes, 6 seconds. Robin Guy was next, his time of 32:04 meeting him 49th position, whilst Alex Cochrane was 61st in 32:31. David Brown clocked 34:20 to finish 93rd, just ahead of Peter Johnstone, who finished 99th in a time of 34:54. Phil Dolding crossed the line 101st in 34:55, just ahead of Phil Link, who was 104th in 35:26. Philip Hill ran a time of 36:38 to take 122nd position, followed by Graham Rogers, who finished 148th in 38:14 and Verity Dodd, who clocked 38:21 to take 151st place.
