Last weekend, 4 members from NDRC took part in the Cheswardine 5 mile, a run which has taken place on the last Sunday in June for many years raising money for local causes. Tracy Hartridge, who took part, was kind enough to send us a report from the day:
Starting in the picturesque village, at the top of a short uphill, near the church, the route took the runners on a downhill initially followed by a climb out towards Chipnall. The rest of the course followed ups and down of country lanes on a big loop, passing through Doley, before heading back towards the village, with a climb up to the finish.
Matt Walley, Ann Strowger, Wendy Tong and Tracy Hartridge enjoyed the sunny, windy conditions, which kept the temperature comfortable for an 11 am start.

The photograph shows Matt’s wife (Samantha) with their dog, who both also completed the full distance. Lovely homemade cakes and a raffle added to the rural village atmosphere on the day.
