Race Date: Sunday 27 December 2017 – St.Mary’s School, Wheaton Aston
The Wheaton Aston Roman 10K has been part of the traditional post-Christmas calendar for many years. There are usually around 450 to 500 competitors who are out to shake off the excesses of the Christmas Day turkey dinner. The course has been fixed for some time and despite the possibility of snow and ice is a fast route.
The fun run begins at 10.30am and the main event at 11.00am. The start for both races is at St.Mary’s School in Marston Road, Wheaton Aston and all finishers will receive a memento. There is a £50 prize for the first male and female finishers, as well as prizes for all category winners. Please car share where possible as parking is limited with most cars in a field that can get a bit muddy. You were warned! Please follow the signs and marshals to the parking areas.
The 10K route follows the roads surrounding Wheaton Aston. It is relatively flat and should be a good opportunity for a PB and is CHIP TIMED.
