On Sunday, Newport & District Running Club’s Dave Thomas took on the Nantwich 10k, a fast, flat race which takes place on an out-and-back “lollipop” style course in and around the Cheshire town.

Starting and finishing in the town centre, the route takes runners west through Kingsley Village, before passing through Acton and taking in an anti-clockwise loop around Swanley Lane and Ravens Lane. Upon returning to Acton, runners retrace their initial steps back to the start/finish area. In a field of over 2,100 runners, Dave placed a very impressive 571st, with a time of 48 minutes, 56 seconds.
