On Sunday, Dave Evans of Newport & District Running Club took part in a very festive race – the Turkey Trot! Based at Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton, the race is run on a fairly fast, flat 5-mile anti-clockwise route taking in roads to the north of Aldersley, including Blaydon Road, Pendeford Avenue and The Droveway, in what was a new course layout for this year.

The race started and finished on the athletics track at the leisure centre, and overall, Dave finished 71st in a field of over 200 runners, setting himself a new 5-mile PB of 37 minutes, 47 seconds!
