Last Sunday, David Evans of Newport & District Running Club took on the Half Marathon at the Cannock Chase Running Festival. Also taking place at the same time were a 5k and a 10k, making for a brilliant atmosphere where runners could support each other at different times.

Consisting of a small lap, then three laps of 3 miles, each lap featuring a hill to finish, the course was a tough one, taking palace on the trails of the Cannock Chase Forest, and David finished in 79th place out of a field of 318 runners who took on the half marathon, clocking a finish time of 1 hour, 53 minutes, 37 seconds.
