Last Wednesday, Newport & District Running Club were well represented at the Vic Musgrove 5k, the fourth race in Telford AC’s “Sexarathon” series. Starting near Telford Hornets Rugby Club on Dark Lane, the route takes runners down similar paths to Telford parkrun, with some variations, around Randlay Pool and along the Silkin Way, finishing next to the Ampitheatre. As such, the route has a massively net downhill elevation profile, and is ideal for PBs.

Alex Millington was the first NDRC runner to finish, taking 49th position overall in a time of 17 minutes, 32 seconds. He was followed by Robin Guy, who was 85th overall in 18:54, and Alex Cochrane, who clocked a time of 19:07 in 93rd place. Peter Johnstone was next, 137th in a time of 20:31, just ahead of Phil Dolding, who stopped the clock at 20:35 in 138th.
