On Sunday the 9th of July, Annabel Bolton and Phil Link of Newport & District Running Club took part in the Wyre Forest Trail Race, setting off at 10.30am. The undulating 13-mile course is set in a beautiful forest setting, but is challenging in places 

Annabel said afterwards: “The race was superbly marked and stewarded throughout. The weather was rather warm and, at times, I was hoping for the rain that the grey skies on the drive over were threatening!”

Phil finished 38th overall (and was 33rd Male) in 1 hour, 52 minutes, 38 seconds, with Annabel finishing 64th overall (and 14th female) in 2:06:18.
