Last Sunday, Alex Millington of Newport & District Running Club continued his recent excellent form with 18th position overall at the Leamington Regency 10k, a multi-terrain race which takes in a muddy loop around Newbold Comyn Golf Course before running through a portion of the town centre in Leamington Spa.

After completing the anti-clockwise loop of the golf course, runners head down Newbold Terrace, before doing a loop around the Pump Room gardens and Victoria Park, before heading along the river to the finish line by the Leam Boat Centre. Alex’s time was 37 minutes, 55 seconds, which secured him another top-20 finish overall, out of a field of nearly 1,600 runners.
