The Wheaton Aston 10k is a staple of the post-Christmas schedule in the local running scene, with runners descending on the Staffordshire village every year on December 27th, regardless of which day of the week that falls on.
Starting and finishing at Wheaton Aston School, the all-road course takes runners on a tour of the village before completing an anti-clockwise lap of surrounding lanes and villages. Around 45m of climbing is done overall.
Flooding caused a cancellation in 2019, and Covid-19 stopped the 2020 edition, but 2021 saw the race return to its usual slot in the running calendar.
